Next follows a couple of bullet points offering benefits and lastly a call to action where you advice the visitor what he needs to do, which in this case is fill out the form on the name squeeze page.

a) WYSIWYG webpage editor or “What You See Is What You Get”. There are many such editors. The ones that I personally use are

If you’re looking to build a simple name squeeze page, Evrsoft has a free version and will be more then sufficient. What you simply need to do is find any existing name squeeze page example, then copy and paste the entire format onto your WYSIWYG editor. Keep the format while changing the words to suit whatever it is you’re offering.

b) An Auto Responder
What this does is to store the information of the people who provided you their names on the name squeeze page. By capturing the names of the people who visited your website and specifically request to seek more information from you, you will have a means to communicate with the people who visited your website. If possible, try to provide a report of some sort and add value to people who give you their personal contact info. This is a form of reciprocation and an exchange of value.

I personally had a webhosting company that charged me $24 per month for just the hosting service alone, an auto responder that charged $19.99 for the service and ad tracking that cost $19.99. Imagine the amount of savings I would have made if I found the right hosting company. Therefore, when locating a hosting company, make sure you have all the above 3, its going to save you money in the long run, not to mention the convenience of having all the tools in 1 place.

MLM Lead Generation Step #3:
Get Traffic to your site. There are many methods one can use. One of my offline favorite methods that has benefited my bottom line greatly is to send offline prospects to my name squeeze page.

A very simple and cheap offline method I like to use is to use Name Cards because this method coincides with my extrovert personality and interest in people (I find people, the human mind and human interaction very fascinating). I print out a stack of name cards which contain a URL to my name squeeze page, and go to a social function with 50 or more people. People will ask my profession, to which I reply, “I provide information”. People are naturally curious and will ask for my name card.

And that’s all I do, just mingling and getting to know people. There are no sales pitches or follow because this is all done by the Auto Responder.

Apply these 3 methods and your network marketing leads, sales and income will surely surge on autopilot.

And this haughty disposition could very well be your number one obstacle to attaining success with MLM. Don’t get me wrong. A certain level of confidence will serve you well. You will have to win some sales for the MLM program after all, and you’d have to believe in the said program to be able to convince others to join the cause. And this requires confidence. The right kind of confidence, that is. But too much of the same would make you rest on your laurels, which is something you cannot afford in this line of business.

3. Leads are useless. This kind of attitude is doomed from the very beginning. Leads are the lifeblood of any MLM campaign. Leads represent your prospects, your future recruits. Without leads, your MLM campaign is sure to be a failure.

4. Generating a certain volume of leads is enough. Again, this is an attitude that would spell doom for your success. Lead generation is, as it should be, a continuous commitment. It should never cease. Even if you feel that you have generated enough leads from which you could convert some new recruits, there will come a time when all those leads would be exhausted. What then? Where will you gather your earning potentials if you have stopped looking for leads? A multi-level marketer’s task is to continuously and unceasingly discover new prospects everyday. Let’s face it, its the only way by which you could sustain the profitability of your MLM campaign.

5. Lack of focus. Many multi-level marketers are of the belief that they should join as many MLM programs as allowable to provide for themselves several income streams from which they could derive their earnings. This could prove dangerous. Spreading yourself too think by engaging in several programs at the same time would make you lose your focus. Instead of concentrating all your efforts to achieve success with one program, you’d be dividing the same among several platforms. The best way to deal with things is to firmly establish yourself in one program before venturing to the next. Build a solid down line from which you could earn some residual income in a sustainable and substantial level before joining another program. This way, you’d be ensuring that you’ll receive some profit from the first program even while you’re concentrated on the new one.

Knowledge, they say, is half the battle won. Knowing the common mistakes the multi-level marketers make is the first step towards success, as it would guarantee that you won’t fall prey to what has caused their failure. Learn from them, and succeed where they have fallen.

Let’s face it; promoting your MLM program online should be a slam-dunk, shouldn’t it? Millions of opportunity seekers looking for extra income, automated lead generation and follow up systems that can contact and sort through thousands of prospects at the push of a button, and lots of money to be earned if you get it right.

Why then is it so hard to find qualified, active members for your downline on the Internet? The main reason is that most people are approaching their lead generation the wrong way.

Most people starting off in network marketing start looking for ‘opportunity seekers. Here’s something you probably didn’t realize…the average opportunity seeker is looking for something they can do that –
A. Doesn’t require much, if any work

B. Doesn’t cost anything to get started but pays a regular income

C. Doesn’t have any risk attached, especially the risk of being rejected

By trying to attract opportunity seekers to your business, what you are most likely doing is attracting people who are looking for a ‘JOB’. These people are exactly the wrong market for your MLM business because even if you DO get them on board, they will suck up your time and most likely never help to build your business.

Let’s look at a better alternative…

Glenda suffers from chronic arthritis, has done for years, and is searching online for something to finally give her some measure of relief. She finds a great website article on the benefits of a wonderful product that has been shown to work for others, orders a trial amount to give it a go, and discovers that her prayers have been answered.

Glenda is so impressed with the product that she tells, Shirley, Ann and Bill, her friends from the Over 50’s activity center. Bill, Ann and Shirley are also impressed with the benefits of the product and tell other people about it. Soon, hundreds of people are using the product after being referred to it by people they trust.

This is the way MLM is supposed to work.

The problem is, if you follow many of the industry’s training guidelines, you’ll never find Glenda or her friends because your business is not looking for her – the actual customer. I know several people who earn thousands of dollars a month by promoting the PRODUCTS first, and THEN the opportunity.

By focusing on what your customers want, and not the income you may receive from your downline, you set your MLM business up for success right from the start.

Bottom Line?

Build a website around the BENEFITS of the PRODUCTS your company provides (not the opportunity), attract customers to those products by PRE-selling them to potential customers (again, using the benefits they provide), then let them know that they can earn referral fees by sharing the benefits (the very benefits they themselves have experienced) of your products with others.

You will be building a long term, sustainable income stream from ‘real’ customers who love and continue to order your products and not people who are really just looking for a get rich quick scheme or a job…
